Class 124 5 or 6-Car Trans-Pennine DMU

The stylish Class 124 diesel units were introduced in 1960 by British Railways for the southern Trans-Pennine routes via Sheffield to Liverpool and Manchester. These units featured a stylish cab end with wrap-round windscreens and 4-digit headcode panel.

The units gained Blue/Grey livery in the late 1960s and ran until 1983, gaining "Trans-Pennine" branding in their final years.

The buffet cars were removed from all sets by 1975 due to low patronage and scrapped.

This kit features high-quality 3D printed bodyshells with underframes and requires bogies, wheels, couplings and power chassis to complete. The Tomix TM-18 is recommended.
