Class 312 4-Car EMU
The Class 312 units were introduced in 1976 on the Great Northern line from Kings Cross to Royston and also the Great Eastern lines from Liverpool Street to Clacton. A further batch of 4 units was introduced on London Midland services around Birmingham and the North-West.
The initial Great Northern batch also served Huntingdon and Peterborough following extension of the ECML electrification in 1987 but were soon moved to Great Eastern services after Class 317 units took over. The Great Eastern units ran until 2004 and carried the distinctive First Group livery.
A variety of different numbers will be available covering the three sub-classes 312/0 (GN), 312/1 (GE) and 312/2 (LM).
The Electra kit consists of our usual high-quality vinyl overlays to convert four N gauge Graham Farish Mark 2 coaches. These have been re-drawn to make use of the new high-quality clear vinyl and now feature no-smoking/first class signs, headcode panels and front windscreens.
A 6-page construction guide is included with plans for the unit underframes and roof vent positioning.
3D Printed cab ends are available from N-Train
